They didn't get a chance to do Korynne's footprints at the hospital because they were focused on helping her with her breathing! So, Mommy and Daddy did it this weekend! Not too messy!

The Latest Visit!

I've wanted to post something the last few days, but just haven't seemed to find the time! ...Imagine that!

Well, our doctor's appointment on Wednesday went very well! In fact, the doctor said they look GREAT...not just good, but GREAT! The main objective for this appointment was for us to address any questions that we had about the girls...and we had a list! We spent a lot of time discussing how much they are all eating and what type of formula might be best for them! Our doctor suggested we try "ready to eat" formula to help with gas/fussiness and Mylicon drops or gripe water (still haven't been able to find that one at the store)! They seem to be doing a lil' better, but not quite sure we've found the answer! We might end up trying another formula...AGAIN! I hear that's VERY common though...you just have to find what is right for their lil' digestive systems! The hard thing with us is that we have to find what is right for EACH of our girls! We'll figure it out though!

One thing that we KNOW works well is taking rides in the car! Today, Bryan and I loaded the girls in the car and took a drive! It was nice for us to get out and the girls just seemed to LOVE it! They were fast asleep...almost as soon as we put them in their car seats! Maybe we'll just keep them in the living room and they can relax in their seats all day! Ha!

I think they love music too...Bryan turned on the radio really loud when we were at home and they seemed to love it! I really think they got a kick out of Mommy and Daddy singing and dancing! They were probably thinking how silly we looked (especially me...don't want to embarrass Daddy)!

Okay, enough jibber jabber!!

Weights:
Avery and Rylie both weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz's
Korynne weighed 5 lbs. 6 oz's **The doctor thinks we have been holding her back! We have increased her food intake to match her sisters...she's hangin' with the big girls now! I bet she gets a lot closer to her sisters weights by the next appointment!

It's Been A Crazy Week!

Sorry it's been awhile...I've had to catch up on some sleep! The girls have been restless! At least Avery and Rylie have! It started Thursday night, but I think we are now on the road to recovery! These two lil' munchkins would NOT sleep Thursday night...Friday night...or Saturday night!! We were trying to figure out what the problem was and we have had much advice (thanks to all)! Some think it might have been the formula...or maybe it was because they had gas...or could it have been that they had their nights and days mixed up! So, I took some of the advice and got a new formula that is suppose to help gas and is easier to digest...I got some Mylicon drops (for gas)...and we tried keeping them awake more throughout the day and kept them in the living room where it is louder during the day! Then, at night we kept it really dark and quiet! Well, last night was the best night EVER! They slept for about 4 1/2 hours the first shift....they woke up...we fed them...changed them...and put them back to bed (quietly)! They slept for another 3 1/2 hours! It was wonderful!! I only hope tonight and the nights to come are as wonderful! I'll be sure and keep you all updated! Meanwhile, lil' Korynne, who we were so worried about in the beginning, has been a dream! She has had no problems with the schedule!! Yea Korynne!

Just to let you know...we go to the doctor on Wednesday! I can't wait to see what they weigh! You all should leave a "comment" (click on comment right below this posting) and guess how much you think each of the girls weigh! I'll be sure and post the results so ya'll can see who comes closest!!

Doin' Good!

Just wanted to let you all know that the girls are still doin' good! They are growing bigger every day! It's amazing how fast they change! In fact, I am holding Avery as I sit here and type...BOY, she is wearin' me out! Ok, she's not that big, but she has graduated from "preemie" diapers to "newborn"!! I bet she weighs over 6 lbs! We go to the doctor again next week and I'll let you know if my prediction is correct! The others are growing too...I just think Avery is by far in the lead!

We started using "commercial" bottles with Avery and Rylie! They were using the bottles they sent home with us from the hospital, but they are now eating more than will fit in the bottle! So, we had to convert! Korynne is still using the hospital bottles, but she has increased in the amount she eats! She is still pretty tiny and can't eat quite as much as her sisters! She's small but MIGHTY...I'm sure she'll catch up soon!

Daddy and I are really enjoying our girls! We don't know how we'd do it ourselves though! Mimi and Grammy are huge helpers! We have a pretty good system going, but we ALL get tired! Hopefully, when the girls are a lil' older...some of you can come over and love on 'em, feed 'em, and even change some diapers (if you want) too!

Went To The Doctor Today!

I know...I know! You are going to say that we just went! Well, we went again! Rylie and Avery had developed a diaper rash and we thought it really looked painful! We called the doctor and, of course, the nurse suggested we come in! So, I (all by myself) took Rylie to the doctor! I hadn't driven anywhere in month's...so it was pretty neat to get out and do something on my own...not depending on anyone else (except for Mimi and Grammy who were watching my other 2 munchkins)!!

The doctor said it was "diaper burn"...she said you could get it from using wipes (if the babies have sensitive skin) or from stool/bm's irritating their skin! We think it was probably the wipes because we quit using them and it hadn't gotten any worse! We actually started rinsing all 3 of them under the sink to clean them each diaper change. That way we wouldn't have to rub their lil' bottoms causing any further irritation! The girls have really ended up enjoying that! They all have this pleasant look when we are rinsing them! Sometimes...in fact, OFTEN, they seem to go to the bathroom when we are putting the new diaper on just so they can go under the sink again! It's pretty funny! They seem to have it all figured out!

Anyway, the doctor prescribed an ointment for the girls...she said it should work in the next few days! Yea!!

Rylie was also weighed when we went to the doctor! She was 4 lbs. 12 oz's last Wednesday and only 6 days later she weighed 5 lbs. 6 oz's...10 oz's more! The doctor was very pleased. She said she looks for babies to gain an ounce a day and Rylie far exceeded that!!

Anyway, we are all doing well! The girls are eating more and growing every day! Mommy and Daddy are starting to figure them out with the help of Mimi and Grammy! We are so blessed!

Thank you all for being so patient and understanding in regards to visiting! When they are old enough we are going to share them with you all! So get ready!

We're all at home!

Sorry I haven't posted anything lately! It's just been EXTREMELY hectic! We are tryin' to get our schedule figured out so we can all get a little sleep! Mommy, Daddy, Mimi, and Grammy are workin' around the clock! It's getting much better with time! I can remember the first few times we fed the girls...it was just crazy! We all took a lil' princess...checked her temperature...changed her diaper...and fed/burped her! It probably took a few hours! BUT...today we did it in record time! I think it probably took about 3o minutes! YIPPEE!! That leaves us a little resting time in between!

The girls are all doing well! I was a little worried about Korynne because she has been spitting up a lot! She is my tiny lil' princess and she really had me worried (I'm sure my FREAKING out has NOTHING to do with my hormones going wacky!)...Anyway, I took over feeding and burping her so I could keep a close eye on her! I said a lil' prayer each time I fed her asking God to give her strength and to watch over my precious girl! Well, GOOD NEWS is we went to the doctor today and they are all just fine! The doctor checked them all out and gave us answers to our endless list of questions! She also told us how to better work with Korynne! We don't have to feed her A LOT of food! She only NEEDS a small amount...if she wants to eat more...GREAT, but if she is working too hard to eat A LOT then she ends up burning more calories than she takes in...she tires herself out..then she's too tired to eat at the next feeding! Then it's just a vicious cycle! Needless to say...I am thankful and relieved that they are all doing great!

We all were weighed today! Here are the results:
Avery Grace...weighs in at an even 5lbs! Passing her sister Rylie!
Rylie Hope...has still gained weight since leaving the hospital! She weighs 4lbs. 12.1 oz's
Korynne Faith...has also gained and now weighs 4lbs. 6.4oz's!
